Technology Teachers Risk Taking

This six weeks three Walker Creek teachers  and the awesome EA get the WAHOO.  Dan Radomdski, Rachel Renfro, JoAnn Webster, and Julie Woolie took the challenge to enter Walker Creek in a video contest that would enable Walker Creek to win some great great technology tools.  Dan took on the video process, Julie wrote the cool song, and Rachel taught her students to sing the song.  Then the students all over Walker Creek showed off the technology that makes this school rock! Watch the video and enjoy.

Allison is an amazing teacher and really understands the digital natives in her classroom.  On her blog you will find tutorials designed by her and her students.  Check out this cool multiplication tool

Technology should be interwoven into our classrooms where all those digital natives are just waiting to enter their first blog or create a podcast. We are missing the mark with the students we are teaching today as we still have them turn to the chapter, read it and answer the question.  We need them creating and publishing their learning to others across the globe.  This page in my blog this school year will be for those teachers that take the plunge and risk and let their students be creators.  I cant wait for the opportunity to to share the great things students will do.

What a great way to get parents involved in the learning of their child.
